PUBLIC INPUT MEETINGS TO BE HELD FOR THE UPCOMING RE-PURPOSING PROJECT FOR CURRENT DAVIE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL The Davie County Recreation and Parks Department is currently in the planning stages for the repurposing project for the current Davie County High School. These public input meetings are an important opportunity for all citizens to provide input and suggestions as to what the community as a whole would like to see as part of this project. Over the last several months, suggestions have been received but more feedback is warranted for a project of this size and importance. “We have been pleased with the input we have received both in person and through online venues such as the Department’s community Facebook page. However, we want to go a step further and engage residents face-to-face through a series of public input meetings. Our hope is that all residents will make it a priority to attend at least one of these meetings where they can voice their opinion on this important project which provides both recreational opportunities, and positive economic impact opportunities,” said Director, Paul Moore. “This is a unique opportunity for residents to play an integral role in bringing this project to life. We are looking forward to hearing from members of the community and working together to transform the current Davie High School site into a thriving venue that will benefit everyone in all of Davie County,” said Moore.
