Many of us have been cooking a lot more in the last year or so. During the course of our cooking explorations, many of us have also discovered the increase in flavor cooking with herbs, fresh or dried, can give a dish. But fresh herbs are expensive and not always readily available, and some dried herbs may also be difficult to find. Join Susan Hawkins, Horticulture Extension Agent, to learn about growing and preserving your own culinary herbs. We will discuss cultural considerations and site preparation for herbs, growing considerations for specific herbs, and preserving herbs. The class will be offered virtually through Zoom. Registration is through Eventbrite. Register through Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/growing-culinary-herbs-tickets-150097735367. Once you register, you will be sent instructions on how to access the class through Zoom. If you have any questions, or have difficulty registering through Eventbrite, please email susan_hawkins@ncsu.edu or call 336-753-6100.
