July 4th Lawnmower Parade – Complete with Free Watermelon, Free Ice Cream and a Free Inflatable Water Slide!
The annual Cooleemee Lawnmower Parade will be held on July 4th from 10-11 am with festivities at the Zachary House afterwards. Bring a chair and sit along Marginal St. to watch the parade.
The Art of Watermelon Seed Spitting
Festivities follow the parade at the Zachary House. Join us for exciting water games, a watermelon seed spitting contest, yard sale and vendor booths and more! There will be free watermelon, free ice-cream, free inflatable water slide. Hot dogs will be sold by the VFW Post of Cooleemee.
Originally started exclusive to lawnmowers, the lawnmower parade has expanded to other types of entries. WalMart of Mocksville is a sponsor for this event and they are offering free ice cream to the community and three $25 prizes for parade entries. In order to win one of the three prizes for parade entries, the entry must be decorated with an Independence Day theme.
