Summer is for Movies in the Park! Saturday, September 13, at 7:45 p.m., the Town of Mocksville presents a Disney animated classic, Aladdin.
Follow the adventures of a kind-hearted but poor “diamond in the rough” street rat named Aladdin. Living in the bustling city of Agrabah, Aladdin dreams of a better life. His fate changes when he discovers a magical lamp containing a powerful and hilarious Genie who grants him three wishes.
Using his wishes, Aladdin tries to win the heart of Princess Jasmine and stop the evil sorcerer Jafar, who schemes to take over the kingdom. With the help of the Genie, his monkey sidekick Abu, and a magic carpet, Aladdin learns that true worth comes from within—not wealth, power, or pretending to be someone you’re not.
Filled with memorable songs like “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me,” Aladdin is a magical tale about love, bravery, and being true to yourself.
