Welcome to the Triad Municipal Alcoholic Beverage Control.
The Triad Municipal ABC Board is a local political subdivision of the State of North Carolina. Employees work for the Triad Municipal ABC Board and not the State of North Carolina.
The TMABC Board operates as a separate entity establishing its own policies and procedures. However, the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission as provided by General Statute 18B regulates the TMABC Board. General Statute 18B provides a uniform system of control over the sale, purchase, transportation, manufacture, consumption and possession of alcoholic beverages in North Carolina and provides procedures to insure the proper administration of the ABC laws under a uniform system throughout the state.
The board’s purpose is to control the distribution and sale of spirituous liquor, generate revenue for the member municipalities and provide service to all customers.
North Carolina is one of 19 control states and is a member of the National Alcoholic Beverage Control Association.
